Cookie Packages

Have you seen the JELLO COOKIES Jamielyn over at I heart Naptime recently shared?  They look super yummy and the colors are just plain fun!  I thought Mr. C would love to make them with me and they would be a fun little treat to share with our friends and cousins to kick off the summer!

We made our dough and Mr. C was a great taste tester, not so good at helping me roll out the dough.

We packaged these a couple different ways.
For those that had a lot of kids in the house, we put some in a clear bag and tied it at the top.  I added a piece of washi tape and I wrote Welcome Summer.

If we were going to take them to a house with only one or two kids, we did individual packages.  Using washi tape and bakers twine to close, I put a single cookie in each of these white bags.

I found these plain white french fry bags at Restaurant Depot.  You can get a couple hundred for about $15.  I used them for our Valentines, I use them to package gift cards, or anything.
They have sure come in handy!
(I even let the kids color a few of these bags.)

The cookies were simple to make and taste great.  Plus I always think everything tastes better if it's presented in a pretty package!
