I finally got around to making a 4th of July printable for my entry way.
I really like how it turned out, but once I put it on the table, with the banner above, I realized I needed one more thing to make my entry way complete. I decided to add a little pennant banner to my plant.
I'm sure there are lots of tutorials out there on how to make one of these banners, but this is the LizzieJane version:
First I cut out 1.5"x4" strips of paper. Then I folded them in half
At the open edge, I made a small crease at the half way point. Then I put it on my paper cutter with one corner on the cut line and the fold I just made at the other end of the cut line
Then I did the same thing for the other side, making a perfect triangle.
I laid them out in the pattern and location I wanted. Then, using a glue stick, I glued them over some bakers twine. I took 2 skewers, put a dot of hot glue at the top of each and wrapped my twine around the skewer a few times.
Here is my patriotic entry way all completed!
If you are in need of a printable for your own display, this will print as a 5x7. I'm sure you can print it as large as 8x10, it just might need a little cropping.
One Nation Printable
I'm really loving this printable! I think it adds so much to the entry way. Plus it makes me appreciate the freedoms we have living in this wonderful country!
Hope you all have a safe and happy 4th!
