For the month of June, I wanted to feature one item for the entire month on
TASTY TUESDAY.
So, this month we are dedicating to SPAM.
Welcome to SPAM*A*RAMA!
You may ask, why SPAM? To which I would answer, "I didn't know I would like it so much".
It's crazy! I haven't eaten SPAM since I was a kid. I came upon this recipe in a
book I was reading and decided to give it a try. I changed it up a bit, using things I had and what my family would like.
I haven't ever made fried rice before but this was delicious! And it didn't take too long to make.
It's not something I would eat every day but, a plus for SPAM is that it can sit on your shelf for a little while, making it the perfect addition to a year supply. Plus there is a "light" version you could use as you would the original. Once I used it in this recipe, I wanted to try it in other things.
Like I said, I didn't know how much I would like it, or the hubs, or the kids. Hopefully you won't be too scared of the word SPAM and give this recipe a try!
Come back next week to see how else I put my SPAM to use!
Here is where I'm linking up this week:
