Paint Chip Halloween Craft

I decided it was high time I did some crafts with my kiddos.

So for the next couple weeks, be prepared to see some fun Halloween kid crafts!

I've been searching on line for some fun and easy crafts we could do together.
I saw these cute paint sample monsters from HERE and decided to create my own.
I was cruising through Lowe's last week and picked up a couple of paint chip samples in festive halloween colors to make some fun halloween characters.

Mr. C and I made these together one day while little miss was taking a nap.
I cut most of the the things we need to make our characters by hand, with the exception of a 1 inch hole punch for the eyes.  Here is what I cut out of black, white and green cardstock to make a Frankenstein and a Pumpkin.
I would first glue my pieces down on my paint card and show Mr. C where they should go.  Then he would get the glue stick and put his pieces on his paint card.  Look at that concentration!
It took us about 30 minutes to each make 2 characters (the hand cutting of the pieces took most of the time.  Mr. C's are on the top and mine on the bottom.  I think Mr. C's look so cute.  More Frankenstein than mine!
Then after we finished the first 2, I decided to make a candy corn and a witch.  I just free hand cut the shapes from the paint card and the card stock.  I used a scrap of the paint card to make a nose for my witch, complete with a green wart!
This has been one of my favorite projects so far that Mr. C and I have done together.  It was quick, fun and I think the end result is just super cute!  And he loved showing daddy and his grandparents what he got to make with mommy.

I'd love to know if you make these with your kids, grandkids, nieces or nephews!

Happy Crafting!
