A few weeks ago I was able to attend my very first Blog Conference. The
Blended Conference was a one day blog conference held right here in AZ. It was held at the
Double Tree Hilton in Tempe which was just a short 20 minute drive from my house.
I thought it was a great conference for all bloggers. So many great subjects were talked about and the sharing of information between bloggers was amazing. It was nice to be with so many ladies who are creative and encouraging. I thought there was something to learn for everyone.
Maureen from
Wisconsin Mommy talked about the business of blogging. Sharing great tips on how to be professional and work with sponsors. Christine form
Cook the Story talked all about Pinterest and what tools to use to get the most out of it.
We also had a break out session where we could discuss all things blog. Then we ended with a panel that talked about food photography. There were so many tips and tricks to be learned. I really like this panel because I'm trying to get better at my food photography skills.
There was lots of yummy food to be had and laughs to be shared. I was able to spend my lunch hour sitting next to Melanie from
Reasons to Skip the Housework and
The Inspiration Network. I have emailed back and forth with Melanie lots of times over the last year and it was finally nice to meet her in person!
We had such wonderful sponsors at this conference! My thanks to them for helping make this conference happen. Plus we got lots of great swag! My family and I loved all the yummy food that I didn't get a picture before half was gone!
This conference was perfect for my first blog conference. With 3 littles at home, one being 3 months old, it is hard to take too much time away from them. But this 1 day conference was just right for me. My hubby did great taking care of all 3 kids for the day. I made sure to leave him a schedule of what the baby needed during the day. I came home to happy kids and my laundry folded! Way to go HUBBY!
Special thanks to Wendy from
Choosing Love and Wendy from
Around my Family Table for putting on such a wonderful conference. I'm so happy I was able to attend and can't wait for the next one!
